My garden philosophy

My biggest inspiration when creating gardens is nature, whether it's a clean, modernist garden or a 19th century rose dream. What is it that makes a clearing in the forest warm and inviting, or a pond on a mountain moor magical? How can I create the same feeling in my design, by a lawn or a pool?

The first and most important part is to create a landscape architecture that starts from the site and takes into account the light and the natural environment of the area such as vegetation, buildings and views. The next step is the garden design, when the different parts of the garden are dressed with materials and plants to create the right feeling. Based on the local conditions, balance is created and the garden is anchored to the site.

A garden in balance gives a calm impression but is at the same time full of life. It is lush, easy to care for and magically beautiful, just like nature.

My design has been awarded Garden of the Year 2020 and 2nd prize in Swedish Garden Designer of the Year 2023.
